Match Report

In a very even first half with some good play by both teams, Bournemouth Collegiate took an early lead. However as Charles began to take control of midfield we soon equalised through a well-worked goal scored by Charles. With the game evenly poised at half time we swapped our goalkeeper around, which we hoped would give us more strength on the field in the second half.

This proved to be a positive move for Moyles Court as we began to take control of the game. With Charles continuing to orchestrate many of our attacking moves, well supported by Jack and Scott in midfield and Matthew up front, it wasn’t long before we took the lead through a well-worked goal scored by Scott. Further goals from Matthew and two more from Charles; with one response from the opposition, meant that Moyles Court ran out 5 –2 winners.

Match Report

In what was the first hockey match for many of the players in our B team, it is pleasing to report that; despite playing against a more experienced team, Moyles Court produced a really encouraging performance. With Matthew holding the defence together and Morgen controlling much of the game in midfield; with some excellent support from Callum and Louis working alone as our only attacker, we were able to hold our own in all areas of play. Connor also had a really good game in goal and with both teams sharing an equal amount of possession throughout the game it was no surprise that the final result was a 1-1 draw.
