Match Report
On Wednesday, a mixture of Year 2, 3 and 4 pupils played in a tag rugby match versus FSM. The matches were organised in a triangular fashion, with Moyles Court fielding two teams, both of which played FSM. Moyles Court also played a final match where both of their teams faced off against each other.
In the first game, it was clear that both teams were well organised and were evenly matched, which led to very few chances for both teams. Max was the difference in the first half, scoring two tries and showing some excellent pace to get behind their back line. Moyles Court found themselves 3-2 down at the break after some slack defending and needed the half time team talk to find some motivation needed to win the match. The team came out much stronger in the second half, with Ollie displaying some first rate defensive play. Max captained his team and led by example, commanding his team to a 7-4 victory and scoring all seven tries.
The second team to face FSM were also well organised but lacked some of the pace and guile to break down FSM's defence, which led to FSM being the better team in the first half. Edward and Edward C were the main driving forces and were at the heart of most of Moyles Court's good play. Despite finding themselves again down at the break, this time 5-1, Moyles Court came out fighting in the second half and finished the stronger team. The final score finished at 7-4 to FSM, although FSM were visibly impressed at the fightback from Moyles Court, who deserved to get something from the game.
The final team featured both Moyles Court teams against each other, where the teams were vying for pride and honour. Jessica gave an outstanding passing and moving display for Moyles Court team A, whilst Anais more than matched her in Team B. The game seemed to be leading to a victory for team A, but Team B scored a try in the very last seconds of the game, to earn a 6-All draw, and a very deserved draw for team B, who had earlier fought back from 5-2 down.

Match Report
Although under pressure from the start by a physically much bigger team, Moyles Court were able to defend with real commitment. However two first half tries with one converted, gave Stanbridge Earls a first half lead of 12 points at half time.
Another try at the beginning of the second half from a knock on, extended the lead for the opposition. However following this score, Moyles Court had a sustained period of possession which finally resulted in an excellent try by Jacob which he also converted. Despite more brave defensive work and some good attacking play by Moyles Court, another breakaway try by Stanbridge Earls meant that Moyles Court ended up losing 29 -7.
Man of the Match: Morgen

Match Report
After some good early possession Moyles Court conceded a try from a set scrum and this was followed up with two other tries conceded with breakaway runs by the opposition. However within the first fifteen minutes of the second half Moyles Court had two good opportunities to get back into the game when crossing the Stanbridge Earls try line, but on both occasions they were unable ground the ball. Unfortunately we were made to rue these two missed opportunities, when Stanbridge Earls scored two further breakaway tries.
Although Moyles Court ended up losing by 31 points to 0, you could not fault the effort shown by the boys, who were beaten by a very large and well drilled all Y9 Stanbridge Earls team.
Men of the Match: Sam and Charles

Match Report
Leehurst Swan arrived with a physically imposing team and within the early encounters it was clear that the size of some of the opposition was going to give them a significant advantage in many areas of play. Leehurst Swan took an early lead when our defensive line found it impossible to bring down one of their larger forwards, who was still able to cross the try line with four Moyles Court players around his body. Although Moyles Court were outsized they performed with grit and determination when tackling and they had their own stars with Harri and Andrew linking together well on many occasions to gain ground and in fact score crucial tries. They were ably supported by Nathan who made a number of important tackles and who also was able to make lots of ground carrying the ball. Although Moyles Court lost this bruising encounter by 57 – 31 points, they came out the game with a lot of credit.
Man of the Match: Harri
